Multifamily Building Performance Program - New Construction

Make your new high-rise residential building more valuable—before construction begins. Starting with the schematic design, New York Energy $mart^SM Performance Partners will work with the design team to incorporate potential energy efficiency options into the building’s design to ensure ENERGY STAR guidelines are fulfilled. The use of the Performance Partner as a member of the design team allows the developer to retain a level of flexibility to achieve the ENERGY STAR goals while addressing the other concerns of the project. After completion, tests and inspections of the building will confirm that the final project matches the energy efficient design.

• Lower energy bills - A New York ENERGY STAR^® Multifamily Building uses at least 15 percent less energy than a building constructed to ASHRAE code.
• Better building performance - Buildings are "performance tested" to confirm that they meet or exceed the New York ENERGY STAR^® Multifamily Building standard.
